I’ve always had an affinity for the written word. Some of my earliest memories have been about learning how to read, visiting bookstores, and being fascinated by all sorts of books. So, it comes as no surprise that I eventually gravitated to a career in writing.
After receiving a Master of Arts degree in History from Simon Fraser University in Canada, I went on to pursue my writing goal.
I have had three books focusing on royalty published by St. Martin’s Press. The first was "Born to Rule: Five Reigning Consorts, Granddaughters of Queen Victoria" (2007), followed by "In Triumph’s Wake: Royal Mothers, Tragic Daughters, and the Price They Paid for Glory" (2009), and "From Splendor to Revolution: The Romanov Women, 1847-1928" (2011).
I also have published on Amazon (both Kindle ebook and paperback), a series called "Royal Cavalcade." Books in this series include: "Pageant of Kings: The Nine Sovereigns at Edward VII's Funeral"; "A Guarded Secret: Tsar Nicholas II, Tsarina Alexandra and Tsarevich Alexei's Hemophilia"; and "Drina & Lilibet: Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II From Birth to Accession".
I also have another series published on Amazon (Kindle ebook), "Royal Weddings." Titles in this series include: "Queen Victoria & Prince Albert 1840"; and "The Princess Royal & Prince Frederick William 1858".
I currently live with my husband in Florida. When I’m not busy researching and writing, and doing some volunteer work, I love visiting museums, enjoying concerts, spending time with my family, and doing as much traveling as possible.
