Queen Elizabeth II Turns 95

Queen Elizabeth II turned 95 years old on April 21, 2021.  She was born at her maternal grandparents’ home, 17 Bruton Street, Mayfair, London.  Her parents were the Duke and Duchess of York, who in 1936, became King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.  At the time of her birth, Princess Elizabeth of York was third in line to the throne.  Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning and oldest monarch in English and British history.  The Queen’s 95th birthday is a poignant one, coming just eleven days after of her beloved husband of 73 years, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
